Product Description

This is a practical and inspirational book on which plants go best into which type of pot in order to have a colourful garden in every season of the year. This book also shows how any size or type of garden can be transformed by carefully arranged and planted pots. The opening section of the book first discusses pots - their shapes, styles, and materials - and then shows how to match the right plants to the right type of container. The second section gives advice and tips on the planting, and care of plants in pots. The main part of the book discusses which plants will best bring colour to your garden at any time of the year, and includes plant recipes for every season both early and late summer. Finally, a comprehensive directory of over 200 plants, listed under their horticultural names, gives the reader the widest possible choice of plants to grow in pots.

Good Insight and Tips 4 Aug 2009
By M. Black - Published on Amazon.com
Short and helpful discussions re: types of pots and various design considerations when using planters, containers, for flowers. It discusses how to prepare a container, placement and aspects to consider if moving the plant inside for winter, or outside for spring. It is not a "how to" book, so much as insight and helpful information to consider when growing flowers in a contained area. Aesthetic and simple. This would, I think, be great for anyone living in an apartment or in limited spaces. It has inspired me to consider using various items saved in my garage for flowers.
