Pip and Posy are typical toddlers: they are best friends and they have fun ...but sometimes, just like any other toddler, they get cross and sad, so sometimes it takes friendship, sharing and understanding - and a cuddle - to make things better. In Pip and Posy and the Little Puddle Pip comes to play at Posy's house. They have such a lovely time after their mid-afternoon snack and drink that Pip forgets he needs to go to the loo, and soon there's a little puddle on the floor. But everyone has accidents sometimes, so Posy mops it up, and lends him some clothes. The next time Pip needs a wee, he does it in the potty all by himself.

About the Author
Axel was born in Hamburg, Germany. At school he was good at art, but didn't think of a career in illustration until he won a cuddly purple cow in a drawing competition. He moved to England in 1982 to learn English and study illustration at the Bath Academy of Art and then set up home in London. Axel lives in London with his partner and young daughter.

Pip and Posy are great friends and have lots of fun together. It's a very rainy day and Pip goes to Posy's house to play. They have a wonderful time and they are so busy that Pip forgets - yes, you've guessed - to use the potty. Posy clears up and lends him some clothes - Pip does look sweet in a dress! No harm is done and this reassuring story is just right for toddlers; accidents will happen and are no big deal. The simple text is pitched at just the right level and children will readily identify with this friendly pair. Children will love the illustrations, which show a house just like their house so it is very realistic. Generously sized books, with padded covers, these are really attractive.

Bought this book today for my 2 1/2 year old boy and he absolutely loves it, he wanted me to read it twice before bed! The pictures are beautiful, there is so much for him to look at. This book is especially great for us as we are in the proccess of potty training and the story really relates to him, he even said this story was about him. There isn't too much in the way in reading, just a line per page, this works for us as my boy doesn't concentrate for too long. But there is lots to talk about as the illustrations are so good.
