I got this book years ago when I needed to do some tricky postscript reports: this book definately saved the day, I don't think I would have achieved the required result just working from the examples I could find around about.

If you still need to write to Level 2 (maybe to support older printers) then this is the definative reference book: all commands are covered in detail and is very clear.

This text has a permanent place on my reference shelf. The lucid explaination of how the PostScript language works given in the introductory chapters is unsurpassed. The command by command detailed explainations are essential to any development worker for efficient use of the rich resources of the language.
