My three year old son loves Postman Pat. He received this toy as a present for doing so well potty training and we were very disappointed when it didn't even last 30 minutes. All three doors broke off when he opened them. We purchased it because we were so happy with the smaller Postman Pat van that he has at his grandparent's house. I wanted him to have something a little different at our house and I guess I should have gone with the product we know is good. If you want a Postman Pat van I don't recommend this one, but I do recommend the smaller one.

For a child as Postman Pat crazy as my two year old this is just the ticket. Van looks chunky and bright, while side doors and rear compartment open and there are some nice details such as flexible wing mirrors. The accompanying accessories (two small parcels) can be stored in the rear compartment but I agree that they are likely to be lost pretty much straight away. The SDS theme tune is played when a button embedded in the van's roof is depressed. Despite the irksome lack of Pat and Jess figures this remains a faithfully accurate and pleasing kids' toy.

My little boy loves this van however I have to say disappointed that it did not come with pat character only two little parcels that were soon lost! Description is therefore a little misleading. Van is reasonably durable but I would say that the doors will come off eventually. Tune is also quite annoying but aren't most toys that make a sound!
