Why we wrote The Postage Stamp Kitchen Garden BookWe wrote this book because we garden in small beds and love to eat what we grow. Once we actually sat down and figured out the types of foods we really enjoyed we decided to specialize in several themed beds.
What a joy and treat to watch our "Italian" bed develop and grow, then the "Mexican" bed did so well we have enough green tomatillo sauce in the freezer to cover as many enchilada dinners during the winter as we want. Our "Soup Garden" gives us year round ingredients. We have summer soups and winter soups, all made with what's in the garden at that time of year. We'll be experimenting with all types of themed gardens this year.
this book is for the food loving gardener who wants fresh ingredients they need for their favorite recipes right at, or near, their kitchen grown in as small a space as a 4 foot by 4 foot bed, or even in containers.
Most of our herbs are grown in containers outside our kitchen door. Marvelous.
