Book Description

28 Mar 2008
"Is It Possible to Live this Way?", a translation of the first part of Luigi Giussani's "Si Puo Vivere Cosi?", addresses the virtue of faith. A compilation of Giussani's conversations with young people who have chosen the path of the consecrated life in the Church - that is, have chosen to live their lives in the world according to the 'evangelical counsels' of poverty, chastity, and obedience - it proposes an unusual yet reasonable approach to living as a Christian. As in all his works, Giussani encourages young people to be serious about their own existence and loyal to their experience. The conversations reported here are fascinating and insightful, providing support for a way of life that today is frequently questioned, rejected, or censured.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good book about Christianity 11 Dec 2008
By Eng Joana Pardal - Published on Amazon.com
This is the first book in a three book series by Father Luigi Giussani, the founder of the Catholic Movement Communion and Liberation. It is the transcription of a course for people pondering if they want to consecrate their lifes. It is also very useful for everybody else!
The language is simple and accessible, but sometimes you notice some minor glitches in the translation from Italian.

5.0 out of 5 stars Genius and human 27 Nov 2008
By J. Orrino - Published on Amazon.com
Fr. Giussani's genius presented as if he were sitting right in front of me and speaking. His proposal remains the same and his voice is preserved.

This text has challenged me to find the reason for my faith and helped me to point to where in my life faith becomes knowledge... a knowledge that affects everything.
