About the Author
David Evans roamed Mediterranean Europe, India, Egypt and Southeast Asia before Portugal seduced him. He studied at Eton and read History at Cambridge. He has lived in New York and London on and off since he was a baby, and has worked as a freelance writer on both sides of the Atlantic. In 1994 he donned a voluminous brown habit and became a novice in the Society of St Francis, an Anglican Franciscan order. He enjoys going for walks amongst trees, making soup, and following his curiosity (which is as omnivorous as a Portuguese goat). David is the author of Cadogan's guide to Portugal and the co-author of The Algarve.
Kamin Mohammadi left a revolution in Iran for the chaos of a London childhood, the city where she is still based. After years of a random and freelance lifestyle wandering the Iberian peninsula, she now runs a stable of glossy magazines in London and wears spike heels.
