'Same old same old' I thought before seeing this. Not so, this actually has a touching story (and blood so don't worry) and excellent acting. Who knew they could coexist in a zombie film?

There have been a lot of entries in the zombie movie genre over the past few years but this film does something original in making the zombie film focus around a family drama/documentary. Its a strange fusion of genres, a hybrid. In ways it has a connection to The Exorcist but with much more humor and plenty of stomach churning gore. I was surprised by this film a lot as I didn't know what to expect. Some parts disturbed the hell out of me for days.
Overall I would recommend this film to anyone who has seen everything in horror before and wants to see something unique.

An original zombie film with comedy, drama and horror, unlike anything I have seen before. The main story line is about a family and their neighbors, how they cope with keeping their son who is a zombie safe in his room from the outside world as a zombie out break starts. Yes the special effects and make up is not high quality, but you get what you pay for and so a budget of $50,000 isn't bad, a bit more money obviously would have made a difference (3/5).
