One of the best jazz/pop/funk CDs ever recorded! 3 Aug 2006
By E. Voorhies - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I'm a 53 year old professional guitarist and have been a Lee Ritenour fan for decades. In my opinion "Portrait" is the best album Lee has ever recorded, and one of my all-time favorites by anybody in the business. The incredible vocals of Eric Tagg and Phil Perry on "Turn the Heat Up" are worth the price of the CD alone, not to mention the suberb digital quality of the recording as a whole. This is much better than any of the "Best of" CDs by Lee. Just listen to the samples.

Great album with lots of Brazilian Jazz Influences 21 July 2005
By Papetti - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
Cuts like "Asa" with Brazilian singer/songwriter Djavan and "Children's Games" a.k.a. "Chovendo Na Roseira" by Antonio Carlos Jobim have become classics among Brazilian Jazz fans, and the cut "Windmill" is an absolute knock-out.

Fantastic CD............

My Favorite Ritenaur 6 Feb 2000
By MikeW - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD|Amazon Verified Purchase
With Brazilian influences and talent, my favorite Ritenaur. This will be the third time I've bought this disc. It was stolen with my car once and loaned away and never returned before that. Hands off, this one is mine!
