Product Description

First UK DVD release of this 1957 Crime film. Based upon the true-life story featured in LIFE Magazine s blistering expose of the rampant corruption and criminal stranglehold that a Teamsters-controlled organisation had on the business owners of Portland, Oregon during the 1950s, Portland Expose is the dark and gritty story of George Madison (Edward Binns) a bar owner who is pressured by the local teamsters to go into business with them. Deciding that it s better to play along rather than cause trouble, Madison does business with the mob. But when he witnesses his little neighbourhood bar turning into a seedy dive with gangster molls such as Iris (Jeanne Carmen) ruling the roost, he begins to have second thoughts. But when Joe (Frank Gorshin), one the mob s heavy men tries to rape his daughter Ruth (Carolyn Craig), Madison finally decides to fight back..The Whole Scorching Story...BRIBE by BRIBE...SIN by SIN...SHOCK by SHOCK! DVD Extras: Audio Commentary and Trailer.
