Does the job it`s intended for, although the lead to plug into car cigarette lighter is really short (not even enough to rest it on the floor) and the map light is a bit pointless, you`d only use it as a last resort.
My Uncle had a very similar device with a rechargeable battery for round about the same price, wish I`d paid more attention to product description and looked for that instead!

I bought this to take with me to the Shetland Islands on a caravanning holiday. I was not sure how often I would find a mains campsite so wanted to be prepared. I found this really useful for a whole lot of things - Nintendo DS, Camera, Mobile phone, Electric toothbrush oh and very importantly the cordless drill to wind down the caravan stays! - there seem to be more and more gadgets these days that need charging - I will keep this in the car all the time now.
Haven't even use it yet - no proper instructions - looks a bit fragile with and home made. Not sure how safe it is.

works fine but knobs were you put connector's on keep falling of, lead way to short though hubby had to extend ours, but for money not bad
