Really good bit of kit which folds up quite small. Perhaps a bit pricey, but ultimately worth the money.

The "side doors" seem a bit flimsy, but with careful handling should last ok.

The most important bit, the fan is metal framed and seems good quality. If it does fail it should be no real problem finding another. (They're 240 volt and around ten quid.)

In operation the noise level is reasonable and it does suppress the nasty smells/paint dust. Spraying 1/35 models, I've only used the vent hose once. It doesn't seem to need it with acrylics. With more noxious paints it's probably essential.

The filters seem to last quite well, and I find it helps to carefully vacuum the filter face once in a while; which is good because they aren't particularly cheap bearing in mind it's just a sheet of dacron (dual layered though).

The retractable power cable is a good idea, but mine broke on first use. I was promised a partial refund, but never received it. I modified the unit to take a standard kettle lead.

If, like me, you only have the kitchen table to work on, or like me have a wife who hates nasty smells, get one!

I bought this to use with my airbrushing. It is a very good and well made piece of kit. It folds out and works better than I expected. It could use a light but with the cowel being almost clear a work light works very well. The vent kit is not in use on mine yet but it works well without it. The power cable rewinds back into the unit with the push of a button. I have also found another use for it. I have cut a piece of pond filter wool(comes in a roll)and fitted it in place. I can now use it as a sanding booth. If like me you use a dremmel or similar for carving and sanding, This manages to keep the dust away from you extremely well. So it's now a two in one machine. Very highly recommended. Brilliant.

Given that at the time of purchase everyone else was selling this at a higher price with the extractor hose as an extra it really is good value. The extractor hose is a substantial piece of kit, consisting of a corrugated plastic tube rather than a cheap fabric affair and it expands to surprisingly much longer than it's closed length.
It took quite a bit of manhandling to get it threaded through the rather convoluted rout to my window but once in place it certainly stayed there.
The main unit itself is well made for the price. The fan isn't overly noisy, producing just enough airflow to draw off the fumes without taking half of the paint from my airbrush before it gets anywhere near what I'm painting.
I was pleasantly pleased overall

After initialy starting to spray my 1/16 scale tank in a cardboard box on its side in the kitchen, I noticed the paint vapour just seeming to hang for awhile in the air, now my wife lets me get away with alot of things but im guessing camouflaging the kitchen units is not included, anyway bought this it does a great job allowing me to vent the filtered air out through the kitchen window, not quite big enough for the tank but I extended the side of the unit with cardboard and the extractor still coped ok. My point of view if you airbrush this and a good spray mask are essential.1

Had the booth for three months now. The "non-retractable retractable cable" seems to be a common problem, mine didn't work at all. But, as for it's extraction, very impressed. The turntable is a useful addition. Recommended

This has to be one of the best inventions for the serious modeller who uses an airbrush to paint their kits. Compact and efficient and at a reasonable price.

Came very quick. I found the vent tube end ,quite difficult to connect to the main tube, and still haven't. I am going to put this out of an upstairs window so I need it on right. I may try using it without the vent tube on, and see how it goes.
On first look at this unit I am impressed, I haven't yet used it in anger so can't say how well it works.

Great bit of kit. The side panels are a bit fiddly to keep together. But overall well pleased with it.
I have been told that a cardboard box does the same thing, but won't have an extractor fan built in.
