My son loved this.... although this is a cheap item its well made and opens a childs mind to the microscopic world. We have since bought a digital usb microscope but this still goes with him to the beach or days out. Recomended for any child ( or adult ).

Product works fine though when I first put in the batteries provided, nothing worked but the batteries were very hot within 30 seconds or so! I got rid of them and used other batteries which were fine.

Great micrscope, but when using the batteries that the product came with for the first time, they became so hot that I you couldnt even touch them.
If buying for children, buy new batteries before giving it to them.

The previous reviews were mixed, and some mentioned that the batteries supplied could get dangerously hot. We did not find that so it may have been a defective batch of batteries. Read more
