This is an excellant buy. It has loads of room to cook easily for a large family, and then when the kids have all gone to bed, burn logs in it for use on campsites which do not allow open fires.
Ecxellant, well worh £20.

Dont need a fire grate.
Have used on loads of camps. Makes everyone happy to get warm around the fire.
Can be used on campsites that dont allow fires on the ground.
3 years old and still going strong.

well i have only used this once on my balcony so far, (see pictures), and i gave it one hell of a test, started burning coal on it at8pm. cooked a few plates worth of chicken, burgers, sausages and bacon. then decided to see if i could burn logs on it after, which it did rather well. burned thru a whole bag of open fire wood before running out and putting the rest of the coal on at about 4am then cooked more food when it had shrunk down enough to fit the grill back on. only needed the one side to cook enough food for 5 people so can imagine cooking a lot of food with both sides at once. feeling quiet confident about my next camping trip now as i really did keep it well stoaked all night to keep us all warm. also planning another BBQ/log fire on the balcony as it was good to watch a fire at home all night.

This portable bbq is just the right size for taking camping and the total grilling area is actually as large as some non-portable bbq's when you use both halves of the drum. There is some attention to detail with adjustable air vents on both sides of each half drum, grill for charcoal so ash can collect at the bottom and a holder to keep the lid from unfolding completely if you do not want to use the 2 halves.
Very nice and looking forward to giving it some good use this summer.

This was bought as a birthday prezzie for a friend and she is over the moon with it. It's ok to use at home in the garden and they take it away in their VW camper as it's small enough.

Its is cheaply made, tinny and flinsy. The nuts n bolts provided are seriously crap quality and it is fastened with aluminium rivets! - a stainless product??? - ally rivets??? are you kidding???? That is like calling something a concrete structure but fastening it together with cardboard! Sheesh!
The sheet metal work is so inaccurate there are 5 mm gaps where the halves meet. Metal edges are sharp and unfinished, Lazy. Not clever.

Having said that it is a seriously useful barbie, the ability to double it up is inspired and the ability to "put a lid on it" for larger cuts of meat s very useful but would be so much better if the halves fitted together better to allow control of air (ie temperature), Simple quality control is all that is required.

It arrives in impressive shiny stainless finish and when used turns the most wonderful shades of green, blue and purple like the pipes on a vintage Goldie. Aaah!

Actually I'm not too disappointed, tho for the money I'd have expected a bit more metal and just the tiniest attempt to round off the sharp edges but it cooks hard and fast, looks good and is probably going to last well.

Someone please tell the vendor that if the "free" brush and scraper packed inside the undamaged unit arrives with both handles broken and not all parts present then despite his willingness to replace them it is simply condescending to try to pass the blame onto the courier for his rough handling of the product...come on! Wake up! We're not that naiive!!!

Make the metal a bit thicker, fasten it properly, manufacture it more accurately and make the tiniest effort at finish and this would be a seriously good product. As is, far to cheaply made for the price but in all still pretty useful.

Very pleased indeed with this portable BBQ. Not only is it very portable but it has a large cooking area and is very easy to use. I would certainly recommend it.

Very nice looking and has decent cooking area. The handle which is the leg for the other half when BBQ is used open, is very flimsy and bends on first use, but BBQ functions well for the price.
