This is a great little portable tv/dvd/cd player - good quality picture and the freeview tv tuned in first time using the small ariel supplied - I had to re-tune when I used the tv in a caravan but this was not a problem (you may have to re-tune when watching tv away from home) - The dvd plays everything I have tried (even torrent downloads ;-) and cd's play fine - you get everything supplied - a decent manual - a remote control - an ariel - different leads and connectors - a mains battery charger (the playback time when fully charged is about 2.5 hours) you also get a car cigarette based charger, a pair of earphones and a carry case - the only problem I found was a plastic strip on the facing of the player was loose - this appears to be stuck into place and came away from the player when I took off the protective film - however, the strip sticks back on and does not make any difference to the player itself - I havent tried recording from the tv onto a memory card yet (not supplied but a 4 gig scan disk only costs about £5) but I dont forsee any problems when I get round to recording - overall its well worth the money.

I am really glad I bought this model. Make sure you follow the instructions and first reset to factory default before attempting to do anything else, or the player menus won't show automatically when you plug in a USB or card. My reason for buying was to take home made videos to show my mother in her care home, so the battery life of just over two hours is ok for an average visit, or I could use the mains. I carry the player in my rucksack and it isn't so heavy that I can't also carry my digital SLR, plus other items. The supplied carry pack is very roomy and takes all the cables, remote, and room left for USBs. The only downside is that the screen view cannot be narrowed, so jpgs will be stretched. The only way round this is to create a second set of wider jpgs using a custom crop tool in photoshop. However, another plus is that mpeg movies download very quickly from a USB. The player automatically detects a USB or card the moment it is plugged in, and immediately shows them as a list on screen. Considering all the functions and media options one gets with this player, it would seem a better buy than most if it only had a longer battery life. Yet with a mains adaptor, plus car lighter adaptor, that shouldn't be a problem for many people.

This is one of the best value for money purchases I've ever made. It does everything and more than I expected. Using an additional simple digital aerial, it picked up most of the TV channels when using it plugged into the DC cigar/power socket from the leasure battery in our camper van when we were up in Snowdonia last week. It has loads of multi-media features as well. The service and delivery time from 'Digital Daffodil' was excellent!!
