I purchased this product as my Netbook didnt have it's own CD ROM drive. The delivery was impressively quick and arrived just 4 days after online purchase. Unfortunately the performance of the product is somewhat poor.
As it is USB powered the drive is very slow (to be expected). On a few ocassions CD ripping became so slow that the drive froze to a halt. I then plugged it in to a power supply (via the jack socket on the drive casing) and that's when it all went wrong. My Netbook shut down and the LED on the drive started flashing repeatedly.
Now the Drive cannot be used by any PC or Laptop either, it just died.
I guess you get what you pay for - in this case I got swift delivery, but only about 4 hours of use before it went kaput.
My advice would be to avoid this product in favour of a better quality CD Drive. This was so cheap, it isnt worth the postage costs in sending it back.

OK for the price as a basic disk reader but it has difficulty reading the freeby disks I get from the Sunday newspapers. I think it would have been better if I had purchased a higher grade drive.
