This cassette converter came with easy to follow instructions and easy to install software and while it looks a little flimsy it has managed to convert my extensive cassette collection and survive being dropped on the floor several times.
A couple times it has refused to play at the same time as converting but reinstalling the software (a thirty second process) has fixed the glitch. Overall I've found it a great investment and nicely simple for my computer-illiterate brain.

Spent practically all night trying to get this thing to work. Oddly enough it didn't, despite the blurb saying it works with Windows 7. A dead give away is the 'instruction booklet' which gives instructions on setting up the software for XP/Windows 2000 and Vista BUT NO Windows 7!!! Really annoying wasting time and money on tripe like this, wish they had said it doesn't work with Windows 7 as I'd have gone elsewhere, now I have to go through the rigmarole of packing it up and sending it back for a refund and the best bit? I can't leave fedback as it was fulfilled by Amazon.

It is probably my lack of knowledge but I cannot use this clever little item, which is very compact and strong. It runs instantly on usb power but my Sony will not take it. As I say, it is probably my lack of know-how that has caused the glitch. However the feedback from Safield Distributors has been excellent and they did not quibble when I admitted I could not fathom it and immediately refunded my money. I would buy equipment from them any time knowing that there is such good backup there.

Disappointing
Easy to instal. Adjusting the computer's sound settings was fiddly, but the instructions were easy to follow, and the unit works fine. End of good news. Read more

Run Audacity.
Start playback on the converter.
Press the Audacity Record button.
