The item is extremely well packed. Once assembled it is very sturdy and looks the part.
My only criticism is that not enough empathsis is put in the assembly instructions on
the importance of ensuring the upright support tubes are fully locked into the tube end
caps during assembly. If they are not you'll discover the tubes will spring out,
distort and you'll end up with a wonky stand! Due to the weight the assembly really
needs two people. I ended up assembling and disassembling it 3 times before I got it right!
However it is good value and money and I'm very satisfied with the end result.

I was looking for a cheap stand for my Hifi unit, tv decoder and DVD. I bought this one because it was cheap, functional and looked good. It was easy to assemble and took about 20 minutes to put together, no tools required. You have no option to vary the height like more expensive models but I needed all the levels anyway (you can change the order as mentioned in one of the other reviews). It is really important the tubes separating levels are embedded in the ends properly. The cable management is poor and with 1 hdmi, 7 power cables, 4 speaker cables, 3 scart and numurous AV links I have ended up with a bit of a mess. However I had already picked this up from earlier reviews and accepted this as the trade for the price.
Delivery was delayed by winter weather, but I e-mailed the supplier through Amazon and it was sent 24 hours later. Final delivery was within 48 hours of my e-mail.
I am very happy with this product, really good value for money.

I'm very impressed with this given the price. Shipping was very fast and the unit was well packed in a wooden box. There are some minor scratches to the black finish on the underside of a couple of the shelves, but nothing that a bit of black paint won't fix. It looks very attractive when put together, especially if the majority of your av equipment has the now-popular gloss black finish.
Assembly took about 15 minutes, and that included deciding how much space I wanted between each shelf (note that you can re-arrange the shelf support tubing by size to any order you want - for example I have the largest size tubes right at the top to accomodate my amplifier/receiver, which sits right underneath the tv). To be honest the unit has a reassuring weight and sturdiness to it, and mine is comfortably holding a 37" tv, amplifier, blu-ray player, sky box and dvd recorder. The width of the unit is perfect.
I didn't even need a screwdriver to put it together, a supporting rod runs from the top to the bottom of the unit and screws in tight once the feet are on. I know the unit is pretty heavy but I managed to unpack it, put it together and then carry it up a flight of stairs myself so as long as you're a pretty fit kind of person you shouldn't need any help.
I'd recommend this to anyone considering the price. A couple of niggles as already picked up in other reviews - the cable tidy is useless (you can't fit a decent quality scart lead through it without cutting another hole), and the stickers marking the top side of the glass will need something from ICI to shift by the looks of them. Neither of these points should put you off though.
