This is a great passive switch (i.e. does not require external power). Switching is easy and done via the white button on the top on the unit, cycling through each input at each press. I have given it 4 stars and not 5 stars because it doesn't support certain usb devices (with ps2 adaptor) such as my Logitech G9X mouse.
Very pleased.High quality. Well designed with all cables.The instructions are clear and simple. At the moment am controlling 3 pc's (it will do 4)with one monitor, keyboard and mouse. One is XP, one is linux, the other is windows 98. The switch is almost instant.Am using a ps/2 keyboard and usb laser mouse with an adaptor. I can run old programs on the 98 without it linking to the others or the broadband connection and with no extra monitor, keyboard or mouse.

This is a great value 4-port KVM switch! I'm using it with 2 PCs and it works flawlessly with an old Silvercrest wireless keyboard, and a cordless Logitech MX700 mouse. These are both USB devices, but I use USB to PS2 adaptors for the KVM switch, although I understand it is available with USB ports. Very easy to operate - I use Ctrl-Ctrl+1 (or 2) to select which PC I want to use with the KB and mouse. Simples!
