This book is absolutely wonderful! My (now) four year old twins have been mesmerised by it for the last two years & still love having it read to them or simply looking at the pictures and telling me the story! The story is simple yet engaging. They find the whole idea of the cat and mouse interaction 'cute' and charming and love the ending. They've read it hundreds of times but the ending still makes them laugh. The illustrations are simply beautiful with wonderful shapes, colours and movement within the graphics which adds to holding their attention. A lovely touch which my twins love is that the pictures on the walls are actual photos and they love guessing who they are. Since this book is a sheer delight to read I never tire of reading it to them. They love it and so do my wife and I. I could not recommend this book more. I would also recommend The Perfect Pet by Fiona Roberton. It is superb! Both books have many aspects to hold a child's and an adults attention!
