So you get a CD of untitled Gerald Fitzgerald and Lol Coxhill solos and duets, which is absolutely spine-tingling and totally worth buying the set for on its' own. I'm not that into free jazz, but to hear these two masters of their instruments interacting, buzzing ideas off each other is awesome.
There's an album of kind of sound experiments, which is OK, but can't match the first CD, in my mind.
And then there's the DVD which is hilarious and made me wonder what they could have done with a TV series. Made on a shoestring, but well structured and filmed (but pretty low video fi). Were these people in Monty Python (answer - no) cause the anarchic humour certainly comes from that direction. Great. Buy this set - have more Gerald Fitzgerald and Lol Coxhill in your collection. It's a limited edition so bound to go up in value. Why would you not want it?
