About the Author
Author and illustrator Lara Jones studied Fine Art at Cheltenham College of Art. For Campbell Books, she first created the hugely successful LOLA AND BINKY titles, which have sold over 360,000 copies worldwide. POPPY CAT was inspired by Lara's childhood pet, Jumpy. Paper engineer Jo Lodge began her career in fashion design and has since become very successful both in paper engineering and illustration too. Her intricate and complex paper engineering has been used to bring a wide range of books to life! She lives in West Sussex.

My little boy loves the Poppy Cat books, but this one is his favourite. The rhyming text is fantastic and really keeps him engaged, but the pop-ups really make this book. They really bring the story to life and he loves touching them and tries to cuddle the pop-up characters.
A really good bedtime book as Poppy Cat searches for Bear so she can go to sleep. Any child who likes the Poppcy Cat books will love this one.

I've read a lot of pop up books to my kids, and most have a very short shelf life. One bit of paper moves slightly, it's held together with cheap glue, throw in a two year old and it's destroyed in minutes. This is quite the opposite - the pop-ups are amazing - huge and in great detail. A superbly designed and built creation. Just don't let your kids near it!

My 14 month old insists on having me read him this book every night before he goes to sleep (as well as at other times during the day). The illustrations are colourful, the pop ups imaginative, the story simple and sweet, and the ending perfect for getting him into bed to sleep. I will buy more Poppy Cat books though it looks like this is the only pop up with so many pages. I bought this for a friend since its not my judgement that matters but my son's!

A simple pop-up book with Lara Jones' delightful illustrations which is ideal for gently winding down at bedtime. My 18 month old loves looking at the colourful pictures and trying to find bear - is he up on Mars?

We've had this book a couple of months as it is always top of list for bedtime reading. The pop ups are great an beause it's a 'dream' there are lots of different fun themse in the book. There is the added extra of finding bear on every page - my 17 month daughter never seems to tire of this and now gives bear and Poppy cat a kiss on the last page - I think she's so pleased to see them reunited!
The rhymes are great as fun to read and a good length to hold a toddlers attention. Would highly recommend this book

My 20 month old son loves this book. It is bright, colourful and interesting to look at. The pop ups are really well done, particular favourites are the dream bus and the rocket. I have to supervise my son with the book though, or else he would to try and pull the pop ups off the page. A good buy overall, and would make a nice present for a 1st or 2nd birthday.

My 16 month-old enjoys this book and the ingenuity of the pop-ups is great. She tries to "lift" the pop-ups as she's used to lift-the-flap books so this requires a good deal of care with a child so young; however the pop-ups are quite sturdy. As an added interest she also enjoys looking for Bear on each page and is interested in all the other details: stars, fish, planets, trees, flowers, etc.. This book is requested very often, I am glad I bought it!
