An Excellent book for young minds,
By The Goldfish (London, UK) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Pop-up Facts: Human Body (Pop-up Facts) (Pop-up Facts) (Hardcover)
My son is 3 and asking about how the body works all the time. This book is a little advanced for him, but it hasn't stopped us from being able to sit together for an afternoon and go through all the different workings of our bodies. The pop up are good quality and the layout of the book makes it easy to understand. My son takes this off the shelf to see the 'white blood cell destroy the bacteria' and the 'growing fingernail' all the time. He was also able to explain what happens to food to one of our friends, which was very impressive.
This book will last for ages, and even though it is essentially for an older child, I think this will last until my son is about 10 anyway. A great purchase.

I bought this book for my 6 yr old. Although some parts may go over his head, I think that most of it is easily understood. The first pop up with the body in it's various layers (skin/muscle/bones) is very helpful for a younger child to visualise what they look like inside. It's an engaging book that looks at the more intersting questions children ask such as "why do I hiccup?" I'm very pleased with this book, it's great!
