A challenging game, 5 Jan 2008
This review is from: The Pop Party Game [DVD] (DVD)
Hosted by Emma Lee, this is a game that tests your Pop knowledge, observation skills and, to a certain extent, your gaming skills.
The object of the game is to host your own pop party complete with bands and stallholders. To win bands to play at your gig, you must answer ALL questions in each round correctly. There are five rounds in total.
If you answer three or more questions (out of five) correctly, you qualify to play a game and the chance to win a stallholder at your event. I find the games to be entertaining; some are difficult which adds to the fun.
There are very few repeat questions (I've played the game several times and cannot remember many at all). What makes this game very good is that it is quite difficult in places and when you do win a band or stallholder it feels like quite an achievement. The questions are multiple choice and some contain a video clip of the featured artists' single. Sometimes, you have to look very closely as you'll be asked an observation question.
To sum up, this is a game that I think you'll be coming back to play many times. It features pop videos, games, secret codes to win (that you can enter on the pop party website), and other surprises. It is polished, has a good humour to it, and is up there with the best of them.

IF YOU ARE ABLE TO MANIPULATE & SPEED-UP TIME, THEN BUY THIS, BUT, IF LIKE ME YOU DON,T POSSESS SUCH AN ABILITY THEN YOU SHOULD LEAVE WELL ALONE. DECENT ENOUGH QUIZ BUT, LOADING TIMES ARE LIKE WATCHING A 5-YEAR-OLD GROW A FULL BEARD.
