Clare O'Connell runs her business, the Pop Bakery, from her family home in West Hampstead, London, and supplies to numerous corporate clients, from Samsung to Air New Zealand. Clare has also gained a number of clients from the fashion industry, including Calvin Klein, Charlotte Olympia, Swarovski and Olivia Rubin, and she regularly works with Topshop designing cake POPs for promotional events across the UK. Oh this book is gorgeous.
I received it today and had a good look through with my four year old son. Much bigger book than I imagined, bigger than Pop Bakery with more designs. The designs are beautiful. I bought it solely on the Miss pop girls and mermaids alone.
The techniques are well described with loys of photos to help guide you. I like this book as its designs are quite different to the ones in the other cake pop books. I like the idea of painting on colour or details. I also love the fact that it gives ideas for other party props such as pom poms, piñata's and full size cakes - only a few though. There are so many designs I want to try, its going to cost a fourtune in candy melts ;/ The cake pop recipes are simple enough. Just chocolate, vanilla, almond and pistachio.
Great designs for both boys, girls and grown ups too. If you love cake pops and want to try something a bit more different then definitely buy this book. There is a lovely ribboned book mark too.
