This is an excellent handbook on an essential, and often neglected, aspect of horse and pony ownership. I'm a novice in this area and learnt something new and valuable on virtually every page, which is no surprise. A better indication of the quality of this book, however, was the response from a very experienced horse-owning friend - after a brief read she has ordered her own copy, having learnt from her quick skim that her paddocks could be significantly improved by adapting the mix of grasses in the sward.
The information is presented clearly and concisely and supported by excellent illustrations. Highly recommended.
