Product Description

Pongwiffy is a witch of very dirty habits. She lives in a stinking, damp cave and is the smelliest, ugliest witch you're ever likely to bump into. With Hugo the Fearless Hamster from Amsterdam at her side she causes hilarious havoc amongst the witches of Witchway Wood.

The first in a series of books highly recommended for the 5-8 age group. Adults will love it too. Pongwiffy, as the name suggests, has dubious personal hygiene to put it mildly, although she loves her own personal aroma. This chapter book details what happens when a group of goblins move into the cave next door. Our Pong isn't happy, enlisting the help of her friend, witch Sharkadder, to find a new abode.

Lots of laughs over cups of hot bogwater, an ingenious method of hair styling involving warmed up baby hedgehogs (not too hot mind, or they get tetchy and nip) and a hamster called Hugo who definitely ISN'T cute. The illustrations are lovely too.

Pongwiffy - A Witch Of Dirty Habits 30 Sep 2000
By Graeme Balfour - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Hardcover
Pongwiffy is a very smelly witch of very dirty habits. But she is a happy witch - until the day the gruesome gang of goblins move in next door and make her life miserable. So she goes to live with her not so best friend Sharkaader, who tries to find her a new slum and a much-needed familiar. All they can can up with is a hamster from Amsterdam called Hugo. What an embarrassment! But Hugo is a relly Amazing hamster with hidden strengths.......

A hilarious tale of witches, goblins, ghouls and familiars which brought roars of delight and disgust....an ebulliently uninhibited farce.

This will appeal to the delicious anarchy of children.
