Bought this after hearing the opening track on BBC Wales. Started off hating it and then thinking 'damn, this good"
Bought the CD on the strength of that.
This is a mini album as such ( 6 tracks) of what seems to be varying degrees of sound quality and may be a collection .
The opening track was meant to go on their latest LP but I think they changed their mind for some reason.
Future of the left were born from the ashes of previous band Mclusky who's brand of spiky, disjointed and gleefully abrasive music is still evident on this CD.
I can't stop playing it.
Outstanding tracks are Polymers are forever, dry hate, and the name of pretend website that I can't mention.
This band may get overlooked because they don't sound like your usual indie black skinny jean but they deserve a much wider audience.
I'm going to get some more of their stuff

Superb as usual from the ex Mcklusky guys, excellent tunes and darkly twisted and hilarious lyrics. Like a blunt object with razor blades in.

You either love FOTL or you don't 14 Jan. 2014

Future of the Left rules. Polymers Are Forever is delicious. But if you're reading this review you already know they're great and you either have or will get this CD. So get to ordering. Or Falco will come to your place and wreck stuff. And I wouldn't blame him.

And it's a really good sounding recording I think.
I love hard sounding Post Punk! 9 Dec. 2012

This Welsh band has been around the block a few times. Though the band has been though many line up changes they remain just as noisy as there previous band Mclusky. I love their sound. Loud, brash, and with very loose control, they deliver just the right amount of intensity and chaos. They love what they do and it shows.
FOTL keep getting better! 23 May 2012

It seems that every release from Future of the Left is better than the last. I loved their first album and haven't been let down yet. This e.p. is short but has no filler. All the songs are great. While they have their own unique style I hear bits of some of my favorite bands in their songs; Slint, Minutemen, Mission of Burma to name a few. Can't wait for the next album.

Love it. Incessantly played it off the various outlets where it's streaming online. Figured it was about time to get it on a permanent, no need for internet basis and support a band I love. And obviously, a time will come when a mixtape will be an incomplete, flavorless broken thing without one of these tracks.

Oh and if you get a chance to see them live, destroy all objects in the path between you and venue if need be. See that show.

The only mystery is why is it being credited to 'headcharger' at the top of the page? They're not even on the same label. Odd. Hope the money is going in the right bucket for this.
