I have just received this book and am SO pleased with it!! The photos are clear and realistic, unlike many books that just show the perfect image of each step.

The projects are good, not all to my taste (but that will always be the case), but they look fun to make and I have already thought of a few people that would like the things I won't, so I can still practise the skills. The projects are nice and varied and not just beads. It also covers things to do with the clay that I hadn't thought of, for example using fabric in the project!

I haven't looked at the DVD included, but if it is anywhere near as clear as the book it will be really useful.

Basically this is really useful for the absoloute beginner, but also for someone who has played around with Polymer, but wants to take it a bit further. It starts with the basic of making a skinner blend, gently through each project adding more skills with each project. It clearly tells you at the start of each project what you need and what the project will teach you. I am very pleased the best Polymer clay book I have bought / looked at!!!

Edited to say I have now made a few of the projects and they are easy to follow are turn out really good.

I have quite a few Polymer Clay books but this is by far the one I would recommend for anyone wishing to grasp not only the beginnings of working with Polymer Clay but moving on to more interesting techniques. The book is supported by the DVD which is great and especially helpful to those starting from the beginning. I wanted to move my skills to a new level and I now feel more confident that I can achieve this. If you buy just one book in Polymer Clay let it be this one and you won't be disappointed.
