The paper used for these cases is so thin, that the fat from the butter used in the cakes soaks through them, and by the time they come out of the oven you do not notice or see the pretty pattern any more, which is probably why you bought these in the first place!
The volume of the cases is also quite small even for fairy cakes, which are smaller than cupcakes or muffins.

Makes fiary cakes look really pretty, top with pink icing and a galce cherry for that true retro look. Perfect for any age party. Got them for my 7 year old.

These are nice cases, but they are very small, even smaller than a fairy cake I would say and they are pretty flimsy but hey, they look retro and there where lots of compliments!

Fun but a flop!
They look great, really fun. However, they are a lot shallower than your average paper case, so may need to adjust cake mixture accordingly.

really funky, they make nice cupcakes but not the mini type. cood for parties and special occasions

Pretty but small
The cupcake cases are really pretty but a bit smaller (shorter) than your average muffintray. But ideal for making smaller cupcakes for a lovely garden party.

Great cup cake holders
Love being able to mix and match these cup cake ideas. Collected together lots of these sorts of things for an Xmas present. It looked really good.
