Product Description

Review

'No-one would argue that the politics of the excluded is a brand new concept, but these essays taken together represent a focused and cogent case and offer an accessible introduction to some of the more interesting and innovative research being undertaken in the early modern era.' - Roey Sweet, University of Leicester, The Economic History Review

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful By Ben VINE VOICE on 1 Feb. 2002
Format: Paperback
An important collection covering the latest work on the early modern period. These essays reveal the considerable level of popular participation in the political process of the early modern period and in doing so call into question much of the limited 'revisionist' thinking on the period. A timely and exciting contribution to our understanding of past societies.

This book arrived in good time and as described, with some pencil markings. Rather more pencil markings than I expected, but they can be easily removed. Generally happy with it.
