Pc. Harry Cole has nothing on "The Bill" which compares with modern policing. this is how it was done...all the serious and funny things that happened in those days.He writes with a raw feeling and warmth that was the old time copper.as an ex Police officer of the 70s I can relate to a lot of things of that period,I,m sure that one of the TV companies and writers can pick up on that,,better than the so called police shows we see now...I think that all new recruits should read all his books to learn about policing, this goes for all his books.
