1.0 out of 5 stars Beware! Not the film you think it is!, 17 Sep 2001

Don't be caught out! This is NOT Police Story 3 - Supercop. It's actually Project S - Supercop 2. Ignore the review that gives this 5 stars - they're reviewing the REAL Supercop.

So to the DVD - Well, there's some good action towards the end, but the terrible dubbing and dull pacing make this a film you'll watch on fast forward. Jackie Chan appears in it for all of two mins in a little slapstick aside. Michelle Yeoh is superb as ever considering the role, but you sometimes wonder about her choice of material. This is one of the most disapointing films I've seen - lots of potential, but let down. Watch "Who Am I?" instead, which is suprisingly good, and get Police Story 1 on DVD when it comes out.

1.0 out of 5 stars Yawn inducing generic low grade Hong Kong action, 10 Sep 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Supercop [DVD] (DVD)
Although this is known as Supercop in the UK it's actually Supercop 2, the sequel to the original Jackie Chan film Police Story III: Supercop. Though it features a few impressive stunts and Michelle Yeoh rises above it all as always, the action scenes are thinly dispersed amongst a very dull story and direction is flat and lifeless. The DVD release also features very poor sound and picture quality. Avoid.

5.0 out of 5 stars Police Story The Third! Arise Sir Supercop!, 24 Oct 2000

Jackie Chan, how do you do it? Another hard hitting, spectacular action-packed, rollercoaster of a ride, from the undisputed master of action- comedy. The third instalment of the excellent Police Story movies is completely different than it's predecessors and has a completely detached storyline. Whereas Police Story 1 & 2 were urban thrillers, this is more like a James Bond style international action extravaganza. It has fights, shootouts, car chases, the lot, all in exotic locations. Plus it has the usual trademark Jackie Chan humour. Hong Kong cinema at it's greatest and one of Jackie's best recent films.
