4.0 out of 5 stars An insight into PACE, 8 July 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: The Police and Criminal Evidence Act, 1984 (Paperback)
Required reading for solicitors and legal representative wanting an indepth analysis of P.A.C.E. Sections 76 & 78 are dealt with in an accessible manner with detailed cross-referencing. Illustrative cases are very useful in dealing with representations to Custody Sergeants who have access to PNC case databases.

1.0 out of 5 stars No code 'G', 21 April 2006
By
John H. Fletcher (Doncaster, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I have the four previous editions that, when published were up to date and an excellent source of reference. However, this 5th edition is not up to date, it does not include Code of Practice 'G' which is a major disappointment. The book comes with a note from the author 'When the 5th edition went for printing the Serious Organised Crime and Police Bill had not reached the statute book...' this about sums the book up. The reader is directed to the Sweet and Maxwell web site for the update. You have been warned.
