From Amazon.co.uk

Police Assassins combines a mismatched detective buddy movie with Three Stooges-style buffoonery. Making the mixture more unusual still, both detectives are female, Michelle Yeoh (Magnificent Warriors), in only her second film, joining forces with American martial arts legend Cynthia Rothrock (China O'Brien), in her then debut, to track down some missing microfilm. After introducing Yeoh in a direct steal from Dirty Harry the plot stagnates as the microfilm falls into the hands of small-time crooks, Asprin (Hoi Mang), Strepsil (John Sham) and Panadol (action movie producer Hark Tsui). Though their physical comedy is ingeniously choreographed the routine rapidly becomes tiresome, far too little space being given to Yeoh and Rothrock. The latter's 1980s' fashions date the movie and the dubbing is dreadful, though entertainment is to be had from a supporting villain who looks strangely like Groucho Marx on a very bad hair day. For martial arts fans the film nevertheless delivers several excellent fight scenes and an inventive and exciting finale. Collectors should know Police Assassins has also been released as In the Line of Duty 2, Super Cops and Yes, Madam, the last of which is actually the English title on this print. --Gary S Dalkin

4.0 out of 5 stars Yes Madam! 29 Jan 2008
By kimil
Format:DVD
This film was a HK smash hit when it was first shown in 1985. If you watch it in now, you will still notice this as the movie that popularise the female super cop characters (eg In the line of duty 3,4).
The copy I ordered was from Amazon itself, it had Cantonese and English audio. Both audio sets were fine to me.

Why 4 stars?
Well, I felt that the main attractions, Michelle and Cynthia did not get enough screen time as much as I would have liked. A proper interview and a biography showcase of Rothrock should have been included as everyone knows that she made her name first in HK before being famous in the USA.
It's a pity Cynthia and Michelle could not have made anymore movies together as I really enjoyed their work in this film.
Despite the flaws, this action film is still worthy of collection for those that like women martial kicking!

1986 Hong Kong Film Awards
1) Best Supporting Actor (Hoi Mang) as Aspirin
2) Nominated Best Action Choreography (Corey Yuen + Hoi Mang)
3) Best New Performer (Michelle Yeoh)

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome 15 April 2013

This is a really great movie if you like this kind of thing. The story is a bit standard, but not terrible, and the characters a bit over the top. The action is really great, and it's quite funny in parts too.

Michelle Yeoh and Cynthia Rothrock look really good, and the fights are very well choreographed. Their main opponents are Dick Wei and Chung Fat who are always good. The end fight is great.

The music is pretty cheesy, 80s style, like most of the decor and costume.

I got the Hong Kong Legends version on DVD so the picture and sound were good. The extras were a bit lacking.
