Great bedroom tele at a great price!, 3 Sep 2008
After masses of research, decided on the Polaroid - based on the reviews for the 19"". Was a bit nervous that there were no reviews for the 22" but decided to take the risk. Took delivery yesterday and am delighted! 22" seems ideal for a bedroom. Sort of small and big at the same time! Brilliant price. Totally easy to set up. And even an off switch (which my other tele doesn't have - and which I really wanted) Can't see any downsides! Cheers Amazon!

Good, you get what you pay for, 8 Sep 2008
Well, like the previous reviewer mentioned, there are no reviews for the product on amazon. But it was a good price, so I took the risk.
All I will say is, you get what you pay for. Yes, it's HD, has freeview and built in speakers. But, is it a Sony Bravia? Is it a Samsung? No. If you want the sound/picture quality of a sony or a samsung, buy a sony or a samsung. Expecting sony qualities on a £179 Polariod telly is asking the impossible to be honest.
Im saying this because of reviews I read outside amazon. "The picture's awful", "The sound's tinny and horrible"... Well like I said, it's not a sony or a samsung, what did you expect? For the price you are paying, you get a decent, average telly, nothing special. It's a lovely size; not too big, not too small, ideal for the bedroom (and the students pocket!) Polariod have been decent enough to put in freeview and speakers. There's not much more you could ask for for the price.
A couple of niggly things, though. If you're looking to wall-mount your telly and run DVD player/games console etc I would advise against this telly. The sockets are all horizontally placed in the back of the telly, so the wires stick out instead of down, which would probably pose a problem with wall-mounting. There is also a power-on button at the back, which would be difficult to access if you had it on your wall.
The stand was easy to put together, but is slightly wobbly. Not majorly, I'm just being picky.
And when I turned it into freeview, it didnt automatically pick up BBC1 & 2 or BBC news 24. I will re-tune it when I get round to it.
And yes, the sound is tinny in places, but barely noticeable.
Thats about it. Its a great telly, basic, nothing special.

Great for the price, 6 Sep 2008
Amazon did a great job as usual.
The TV is really good for the price, incudes HD Ready HDMI port, freeview and component leads. The remote is not too pretty.
Used hdmi to connect PS3, it looked good even up close, very little motion blur on CoD4.
Freeview picture is also good.
The TV looks good, but the stand is fixed.
OSD menu is pretty good.
Considering all these factors and the price, it gets 5 stars from me.
This is great for those on a budget.
