A few years ago I read that of the stories ever written, all derive from only 5 plot lines. In the past 12 months I have read a number of M/M romances and can testify that all of them have only one plot line - man (gay) meets man(straight/bi/gay/interested/unknowing) and they eventually get it together, but not without a huge amount of angst on the part of one of them, but not necessarily the straight/bi/gay/interested/unknowing one. What makes it interesting is that all the books (including this one) are published by Sam Hain Publishing, and without exception all the authors purport to be female, married with a family. The story telling is also similar, in that the narrative changes in each chapter from one of the protagonists to the other, and back, so you get a continuing change of viewpoint. Finally, the M/M sex is very descriptive, so much so that I doubt that a woman could have imagined it, much less put it down on paper.
My conclusion? All the books are written by one gay man, or a group of gay men, all working in the Sam Hain Publishing editorial dept.
All the foregoing is not to say that I did not enjoy this, or any of the other books. I did, but this is not one of the best. For that, try WITH CAUTION by Langley, or HANDYMAN by this author.
