I had one of the old Polar IR interfaces, which worked fine on my computer, but didn't on my new one, try as I might to get it to work. Knowing that there has always been a problem wth the Polar interfaces, either because they won't work, or that non Polar interfaces are not compatible with all Polar heart rate monitors, I though I would take the risk and buy one - there's no point in having an Hr monitor if you can't evaluate the downloaded data.
So, the new device arrives from Amazon. It looks great, installs fine, and the red IR light blinks to let you know that it's "working".
Only trouble is - it doesn't.
So, to summarise, I have a nice knew Polar IR interface that looks like it's working, but can't connect with my watch, and believe you me I have spent hours trying. This seems to be a universal problem with Polar IR interfaces - sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. Polar seems to ignore this issue at best, which is very dissappointing.
So, be warned - if you buy this product, it may not work, but you won't know until you have tried it. Happy days.
