After reading some older reviews of the old FT80 (black face) I was a little unsure about buying this product.
I eventually bought the newer version, with the white face, and have been very happy with it.
The display is easy to read in most conditions (a problem with the older model) and it has plenty of options on how you want to use it and view the info. Combined with the online Polar Personal Trainer, when you can set up programs (including specific exercises if you want) and view your progress and targets, I'm finding this a very useful product and have already modified my routines based on the info I'm getting back from the FT80.
Definitely worth the money. I'm very happy I bought it.

Colour Name:Black
The battery lasted about 2 months before needing a new battery. Once installed, I noticed a yellow patch on the screen and the watch failed to pick up my heart rate. Took it into Polar locally and they said the main "board" was damaged and would cost 70% of the price of the watch to fix. Leave this one well alone !!!

In the six months that i have owned this i have replaced the batteries twice. The HB readings are a complete waste of time and totally useless, they jump from 0 to 210 bpm and back every few mins making the training session recorded unreadable and useless. In future i will stick with Garmin.

Great for keeping Track of Workouts
Records data really well, and together with the upload facility to the polar website, there are lots of tools that allow you to review the data and compare workouts etc.

Waste of money
