Size Name:One Size
Got one of these for customer stock and to test out. Realy impressed with all the functions, far more indepth and accurate than other brands. The main reature is the Fitness Test. This is a 5 min test first thing in the morning while your in bed. Just put your chest strap on and start the fitness test. The FT40 then calculates your heart rate in this time with your personal setting to give you a fitness score. The more you train the better the score gets. You can see a graph in the trends function. Very good product worth the extra £35 from a FT7.

I bought this watch in October 2011 and by April 2012 the watch was throwing-out some odd readings and then suddenly both the gym equipment and watch were not picking-up any heart signal at all (and I'm reasonably sure that I wasn't dead).
The 'support' offered by Polar directly was an absolute joke, they were less than helpful in advising whether it might require a new battery or the strap (which is what makes contact with your chest and provides the heart data to the watch / compatible gym equipment) had become damaged. I would never buy another Polar product again and would recommend that people read the reviews that I missed by other people who have had the same problems.
Up until it stopped working it was fine - there were problems with the Polar website sporadically that prevented entry of 'fitness' or 'fat burn' zones which lasted for weeks. The watch was providing accurate data and wasn't uncomfortable on the wrist.
I have given-up trying to solve the problem and am looking for a new product. There is no way that it will be anything made by Polar!
