Product Description

Poker is hot and people will ante up for this book

Thanks to TV’s Celebrity Poker Showdown and World Poker Tour and the huge popularity of online poker, Card Player magazine estimates that 100 million people play poker today, up from 50 million only five years ago. Unlike most books that include other gambling games or focus on the finer points, this is especially for beginning and intermediate players who want to get in on the poker action quickly, but knowledgeably. It explains the basics and popular variations like Texas Hold ’em and Omaha Poker in an appealing full–color format. With hand–by–hand explanations, strategies, and tips, it teaches people to play smart and win games.

Dan Ramsey (Willits, CA) shares his extensive knowledge of home, casino, and online poker through hundreds of instructional photos and drawings to make learning–and winning–the world’s favorite game easier. Ramsey has written dozens of how–to books for consumers and businesses.

At last a poker book thats not just all words and bleak diagrams. I don't know about you, but I can't concentrate on a book for too long unless its gripping or got pretty pictures in it.
This book isn't just pictures though, it has alot of good advice and makes the learning process alot easier on the grey matter.

If you're one of those people who think poker is too complex to learn then take a look at this book. It is a bigish book but thats to allow for the pics. The basics are easy, the rest of the book just shows you how to get good.

And yes it is worth the extra postage to get it from the USA. Which is incidentally the market its aimed at, so before gambling, do what the book says, "check the laws in your area"!
