This book is about a British girl called Lucy who is working at an American summer camp. Bit by bit, it reveals her character and somewhat tragic past as she struggles to fit in with the other counsellors and cope with the children assigned to her cabin. So far so normal. But this book sets itself apart from the very beginning, because everything happens against the backdrop of Lucy having discovered a dead body at the camp. Things begin to get rather strange. Strange in a good way. I can't wait to find out what happens next. I also don't want to give too much away. The book is a real mystery, as advertised, and I'm hooked. Bring on part two.
Conclusion: If it's a well written page-turner you're after, with characters that are more than just cardboard cut-outs, this is the book for you.
