This band just makes you realise there's still a lot to be proud of in British musical talent - we're not stuck with X Factor covers instead of new exciting stuff to listen to!
I've yet to catch one of their live gigs, but was told by a friend they're worth hearing and had got one or two albums out. Found this one, Point to Prove, on Amazon and got it a few weeks ago.
Well, I must say that for a 10 track album, the variety and style is amazing. Hints of Coldplay, Travis, Oasis & even early Pink Floyd come to mind when I played it. These guys have absorbed something from pretty well all the influences of decades of music, but they're no cover band. The sound is clearly their own, and the more I listen, the more it seems to have something special about it. I liked it straight away, but find it growing more on me when I hear it again.
Lonesome Party Heroes - I look forward to hearing how they go from here.

Excellent album - recommended!
