3.0 out of 5 stars Point Break the sound track 12 Nov 2009
Format:Audio CD
First few tracks will really connect with lovers of the Film, then after track 4 it's really for metal lovers only.
At the price I got it on Amazon, it was well worth it for that alone. 'Nobody rides for free' is superb! The sleeve photos are not too bad either.
Worth a go just to recount memories of turning up almost late for work (or in Keanu Reeves' character's role, a Police team 'hit') from the arms of a beautiful woman after a first night of love... Ah, 1991...

4.0 out of 5 stars It Broke Me 13 Nov 2003
Format:Audio CD
I first decided to give the soundtrack a go when my boyfriend wanted me to watch his "favourite film" POINT BREAK- he described it as four blokes who were adrenaline junkys. I thought oooo great drugs!!! interesting -- NOT. But i really enjoyed it because it was varied, it was well edited and kept me on the edge of my seat, well bed!. Allthough Reeves K was not all that impressive, smooth talking Patrick Swayze was extremely impressive. But my favourite moments where of the surfing with the music to back it up i found it so atmospheric and thats what imediatly made me want to listen. The C.D has 10 tracks, with a great song by Sheryl Crow to finish it off. The music like the film is varied. The first track really reminds you off there drunken surf at night! Its great if you loved the film then sitting there chilling to this album can be just as good. The only thing i can say hat is bad that it has missed out a few songs which i did realise from a car chase but over all, a big thumbs up!!SEE THE MOVIE, FEEL THE VIBE, RIDE THE WAVES!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars an all-time classic 17 Aug 2010

Format:Audio CD
Easily one of the best soundtracks to one of the best movies of all time. Solid songs throughout, although a couple admittedly need an extra listen to become a true fan of. But, all in all, awesome from start to finish.

5.0 out of 5 stars Songs from the movie - NOT on the soundtrack 26 Nov 2004
By Scott Neary - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Other than Hendrix's '6 was 9', there was one more song I remember not being on the soundtrack. 'Rose Colored Glasses' by School of Fish. What an incredible song and an incredible band. That song SHOULD have been on the record, CD, tape, whatever. Just my 2 cents.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cult -issim ! 21 Feb 2003
By Rockmaster from KWFM.net - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Point Break is a successful film, become cult, mainly among enthusiasts for big thrills (Surf and Xtrem sports), and its soundtrack is quite simply incoutournable ! RATT had never made such a good title (also taste the album '99) and L.A. GUNS is at the Top. The continuation is also 'good spirit', WIRE TRAIN, CONCRETE BLONDE, LIQUID JESUS, LOUDHOUSE, SHARK ISLAND, PUBLIC IMAGE LTD. (quite selected in the film context), WESTWORLD (excellent last CD '02) and not recognized it yet Sheryl CROW ! Only refret, Jimi HENDRIX (the title "If 6 was 9" in the scene of the party on the beach) is not on this CD (for reasons of copyrights !)... KWFM.net Team [100% Rock Webzine & Radio !].

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a real gem! 30 July 2003
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Simply a great sound track from a great movie. Point Break has long been one of my favorite movies and I really enjoyed the music in the movie so I decided to purchase the very hard to find soundtrack. Upon listening to the soundtrack for the first time, I discovered what is now one of my favorite songs (of any genre). When I first listened to track #10 (Hundreds Of Tears) I was a bit surprised as I didn't remember the song from the movie but (even though I'm not normally much of a Sheryl Crow fan) I immediate fell in love with this song. After doing a little research, I learned that "Hundreds Of Tears" was never released as a single or on any of Sheryl Crow's albums so the Point Break sound track was the only album containing it.
This soundtrack was certainly the best 8 dollar investment I've ever made!
