I saw Teitur in Copenhagen with John Mayer and he was out of this world. This album is one of the must own albums which unfortunately most people will never hear of. He deserves much more recognition than he will on these shores. This is a great album, a lot of it acoustic, but it's Teitur's hopeful tone that really wins you over. If you don't have this album, take a chance; the title track Poetry & Aeroplanes, I Was Just Thinking and Josephine are amazing, but overall the album is just impeccable.

My son Gavin was recording his album in the same studio in LA as Teitur. Teitur invited him to a gig in LA and Gavin was totally captivated by the music. When the album came out Gavin played me some tracks and I immediately bought it and emailed all my friends do the same. Such a change from all the manfactured pop of today. Takes me back to the 60s to hear pure heartfelt songs sung by the writer. A truly beautiful album.

I first came across Teitur in New York whilst visiting for a weekend; we saw him play live to a small crowd in a v intimate venue. I was captivated by his pure talent and it's a night I shall always treasure. His lyrics are beautiful & music unique. Every track on Poetry & Aeroplanes is simply perfect and sounds exactly as when performed live. Stunning.

I've seen him live
You just must buy this, there is not one dud track on the album. Teitur will resonate with your situation, whatever it is or whoever you are.

Good stuff
I saw this guy play in the Faroes, he is great. As others have mentioned he has a distinct Paul Simon sound, although he still has a uniqueness, it is not a tribute act. Read more
