I am only halfway through the book, but I have to say, that it is a mixed bag. Some of the stories are quite good and interesting. Others are as you can read on the book itself "The New Horror" and that`s not meant as a compliment, but in every sense of the word. It`s ineteresting that an author of the caliber of Peter Straub bores us with some of the most redicolous stories I've ever read.
