About the Author
Mark Cowan is an experienced Geography teacher in a successful 11-18 school in Stockton-on-Tees in North East England. He is married with one daughter. His poems have also featured in other educational resources and their success has prompted a full book devoted to Geographical topics.

This represents excellent value because there are fifty poems on a range of different topics. Also with the massive push on cross-curricular links this is excellent. The twenty techhniques for use in the classroom are very useful both with the poems and in general day to day teaching. Because the poems are so open ended they can be used with a range of different ability students and ages. Buy it!

Being an ex-geography teacher I bought this excellent learning resource to keep me up to date with new teaching techniques. It is a fantastic book with wonderful ideas for geography teachers as well as being a great read for any geographer. I will be forwarding it to my ex-colleagues for use in their lessons as it would be a shame to let such a good resource go to waste on my bookcase!
