1.0 out of 5 stars Lost in Worcestershire 15 Jan 2012
By Holly
Format:Paperback
I like to think I am not a 'rookie' when it comes to following pre planned routes. If you want a stress free ramble this is not the book for you. The directions and grammar are unclear, as I encountered on several of the walks included.
I cannot think of one single walk that did not result in getting lost, many retraced steps attempting to re read and assure myself 'it must be me', rest assured, it was not!
When compared to similar books for this area by Peter Groves and Des Wright I would urge you to follow these rather than this one.
I would not ordinarily comment but after the last attempt at 'trying just one more walk' resulted in us risking life and limb running across a farmers newly ploughed field as we were losing the light and were still not sure where we were in comparison to the car I felt it only right to give my view.
It was meant to be a stress free Sunday! We came home and burnt the book on the open fire, never to be the instigator of a stressful Sunday ever again!

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible 20 May 2012
By Lewis
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is quite possibly the worst book I've ever tried to use while walking. The writer doesn't know his left and right and the instructions couldn't be less clear if they were written in mud. Instructions like 'Go to the corner of the field and cross over the stile into the next field' when, there are three corners and three stiles with three more fields!

Never buy this book!
I'm going to burn mine...

5.0 out of 5 stars 2012 comments about a 2007 book 25 Mar 2013
Format:Paperback
We completed these walks in 2007, when the guide was written. We found it to be informative and easy to follow. We enjoyed many a good walk following these walks. I suggest those who have complained should purchase more up to date literature. A lot can change in five years!
