Great little book this one (and Kiddiwalks by same author). Small enough to put in the back pocket, clear directions and hand drawn maps, will satisfy all comers. As we love walks in the countryside, this is great in that it incorporates a watering hole at the end of each 3-6 mile walk making it palatable for children of 8+ when smaller legs complain of tiredness, thirstiness and the inevitable ablutions.
Of the walks themselves, there are plenty for adults and kids to see on the routes, well into the countryside that you probably drive past every day but never see it is an ideal purchase. Each pointed to easy and ample parking to start the day.
Only three of the walks left to do. Best walk was Hindhead (helps if you are a NT member), best pub was Outwood (Bell Inn). But..they are all great. Always walked with immediate family, occasionally with friends; there's nothing better than a summer or autumnal stroll in the Surrey countryside with the knowledge of a great old inn at the end to rest your limbs, have a good bite of food and a beer/wine to round the day off.
Best purchase of the year, to be honest.
