Review
Although I wasn't a businessman, I had to quickly learn the skills necessary to run a company. This book gives clear, simple advice on 100 questions you need to know the answers to before you set out. --Sir James Dyson
A crackingly good book. --Art Business Today
Alison Branagan's Pocket Guide for artists and designers is the kind of handy reference book I like to keep close at hand. It contains concise articles on business issues that confront artists and designers, written by someone who knows how much depth to go into. A great set of website links makes this book both informative and up to date. --John Bound, Head of FuelRCA, the Royal College of Art professional development service. www.fuel.rca.ac.uk
An easily digestible form of the more substantial book and I found both to be useful. If you know you are not going to wade through a hefty book on business then opt for the pocket guide but I have to say that if money is not an issue then go for both. --Findings, the magazine of the Association for Contemporary Jewellery
'This book is targeted at students or those starting out on their artistic careers, the Guide hits the mark perfectly. The numerous useful web resources throughout and the Further Reading list provide a time-saving base for specific detailed research.' Glass Network Magazine
